What are the Augustin’s waffles in comparison with the well-known Belgian waffles in the US?
  • The well-known Belgian waffles in the USA are called in Belgium, the Brussels’s waffles. Brussels being the capital of Belgium. It is a light and tasteless waffle, reason why the customers are used to add a lot of various toppings on it like bacon, eggs, fruits, syrup, powder sugar, etc.
  • The Augustin’s waffles are coming from another town of Belgium, which is Liege. The Augustin’s Waffles belongs to the “Liege’s Waffles” which are more heavy than the “Brussels’s waffles” and are characterized with their pearls sugar in the dough. With the patty’s cooking, the pearl sugar caramelized on the top of the waffle. It is a presweetened snack, ready to eat any where at any time.

Why are the Augustin’s waffles considered the Original Belgian Product?
The reasons are the following:
  • The frozen patties are directly imported from Belgium.
  • In addition, all the equipment necessary to cook these waffles like we do in Belgium (waffle irons, tools  ...) is imported in the USA.
  • The ways of preparing, cooking and servicing these waffles are exactly the same as in Belgium.
  • These waffles are typical from Belgium where they are famous for more than 60 years.

Why are the Augustin’s waffles considered the Original Belgian Product?
The Belgian way: the waffle is put in a special paper sheet like on the picture here above. You eat it as a snack on your way home, on your way to work, etc.

The American way: the waffle is served on a plate with toppings like powder sugar, syrup, fruits, ice cream ... You eat it as a dessert for breakfast, after your meal, at tea time or later on during the day.

What is the shelf life of the prepacked Augustin’s waffles?
  • 6 weeks at room temperature.
  • 8 weeks in your fridge.
  • 1 year in your freezer.

What are the reheating directions for the prepacked Augustin’s waffles?
  • Conventional Oven: for best results remove the packaging and reheat the waffles in an oven at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes if frozen and 3 minutes if refrigerated.
  • Microwave Oven: if reheating in microwave, remove the packaging and heat on high setting for 40 – 45 seconds if frozen and 20 – 25 seconds if refrigerated.
  • Toaster: remove the waffle from the packaging and heat the waffle in the same way for a bagel.
